In the mornings when you cut the Lights on, it hurts. You begin to squint and want to cut them off, but eventually it gets better. (totally heard this in church this week, I LOVED IT).

Well that’s exactly how I feel. Right now this light hurts because I have to leave behind everything that I know and follow in the Lords steps. Leaving the people I love for a whole 9 months is NOT easy. You just have to do what the Lord wants you to do,even when it hurts. I still know that the King of the world is holding my hand and as long as I hold on to him and not let go or cut the lights off, I KNOW I can stand and be the one who shines the brightest for him. I have to go and spread the light to the dark places. God doesn’t want me to keep it for myself. That would be selfish and not what he has called us, as Christians, to do.  So even though right now, this light hurts me, I am still going to keep pressing on toward where it gets better. The worst part is already over.  So it’s just about to get better from here. I’m ready to let MY light that HE has given me shine SO bright. Its what I have been CALLED to do.

“In the same way LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE before men, that THEY may see your good deeds and praise your father in heaven."

                                                                                                  Matthew 5:16

It doesn’t matter where you are, YOU are to let your light shine. You don’t have to leave the country just to make your light shine. You still have to do it RIGHT where you are. DO IT NOW. It’s just different for me. He chose me to go to these crazy places and depend solely on him to do what he has for me to do.  Just as I will LET MY LIGHT SHINE across the world, YOU let yours shine where you are.
