BROKEN

Wanted

LOVED

MONEY

As I walk down Bangla road and look in each persons eyes, that’s ALL I see.
They are broken completely living the way that they are right now. They want to be wanted by someone. They are literally starving for someone to WANT them. The only way the girls feel wanted is by the men who are just as broken as they are. So they think selling themselves for the night is the best way to conquer all of these things. They think that just one night out with a man will make them forget about how broken they really are inside, that they will be wanted by HIM, and that he will LOVE them all for a little bit of MONEY.

It’s NOT ok for them to think like that. That’s why I choose to step into their life for a moment to show and tell them that I know someone who has already paid the ULITAMATE price for them. He loves them for who they are and NOT what they have to offer. He WANTS them. No matter what kind of past they have or life that they are living now or how insignificant they may seem to be, HE WANTS THEM.

I was walking down the road last night when we first got there and I just had so many thoughts running in my mind. I just prayed them out and listened for God to direct me in my steps for that night. He said to me,

“All these girls you see are MINE.  I see past that image that’s outside and look on the inside, and what I see is what they cannot. They can’t see that they are loved. They can’t see that I WANT them. No man can ever top the price that they are TRULY worth.  Not only the girls, but all these men are MINE as well. You need to look past what you see on the outside and look only on the inside.”

In that moment I understood that even though that they may not know God, they still are HIS. They are still his precious children. I continued to walk down and as I passed this one bar, all I heard was the song, Sweet Child of Mine by Guns and Roses. It was funny because these men were yelling that one line out on the top of their lungs. I stopped and laughed for a second then just knew that even the drunkest ones are his as well. They are all HIS precious children.  Who are we to be the ones to judge someone for what they are doing. We have to drop the scales from our eyes and not see what WE want to see, but see what the Lord sees because he truly sees their beauty.
